Steven Weinzierl joins New York City-based creative studio Versus as executive creative director, the company said Monday. In his new role, he will be charged with pioneering new uses of artificial intelligence (AI) and emerging technology while overseeing creative campaigns.
“Steven sees the creative studio of the future the same way we do at Versus: fearless creativity, creating IP, building tools, moving fluently across brand and entertainment, and connecting the dots in new ways,” said Justin Barnes, executive creative director and founding partner at Versus in a statement. “His vision for AI and emerging technology reinforces that future – not as shortcuts, but as multipliers that amplify our craft and push us to go bigger, move faster, and deliver more for our clients and partners.”
“The creative process is evolving fast,” said Weinzierl, also in a statement. “Tools like AI can make collaboration more immediate and visual, but what matters most is how we use them. We’re building a space where new technology serves the story, not the other way around.”
Weinzierl brings two decades of experience across commercial advertising and network broadcast, with a background that spans editing, CG, and live-action direction. He has held leadership roles at The Collective @ Lair, Favorite Color and Click 3X, collaborating with global brands including Bentley, Acer and Toyota.
