Marking what is perhaps a precursor to next Sunday night, Apple TV Plus’ Severance won six Creative Arts Emmys on Sunday night, including outstanding title design.

Severance’s season-two opener picked up where season one left off in 2022. Both titles were designed by Oliver Latta, also known as Extraweg, and both claimed the Emmy win.

Also nominated in this category were Apple TV Plus’ Dark Matter, Netflix’s The Decameron, HBO’s House of the Dragon, HBO’s The Penguin and HBO’s The White Lotus.

Composer Cristobel Tapia de Veer won the Emmy for outstanding original main title theme music for HBO’s The White Lotus. That marked his fourth Emmy overall for The White Lotus. He also won two Emmys for his work in season one – outstanding main title theme music and original dramatic score – and one for season two, also for dramatic score. De Veer has since departed the production, saying he clashed creatively with series creator, writer, director and executive producer Mike White.

Also nominated for best main title theme were Netflix’s Dept. Q, HBO’s Dune Prophecy, Adult Swim’s Lazarus, Netflix’s The Residence and Apple TV Plus’ Your Friends and Neighbors.

The 77th annual Primetime Emmys air Sunday, September 14 at 8 pm ET/5 pm PT on CBS. The Creative Arts Emmys, which were handed out over the weekend, are being televised on Saturday, September 13 on FXX at 8 pm ET/PT.
