New York-based creative and production studio Versus has named entertainment marketing veteran Carrie Spott director of business development, it said Tuesday. Spott joins the studio’s leadership team to expand Versus’ client relationships across brand, entertainment and agency partners.
“Carrie has a proven track record of connecting the dots,” said Rob Meyers, managing director at Versus, in a statement. “Her strategic vision and deep relationships will help us fuel growth and ensure we continue giving clients exactly what they need to succeed.”
In her new role, Spott will lead a team that includes David Edelstein, KC Gulino and Tony Kadillak to expand the studio’s roster of creative talent and original projects while fostering relationships.
“I’ve long admired how Versus blends creativity, craft and bold thinking,” said Spott. “This team is already incredible, and I’m excited to help build on that foundation by growing relationships and supporting the vision and talent that are clearly poised to lead the next wave of creative innovation.”
Spott has spent more than 20 years helping creative companies grow and building lasting connections. She led business development for the Northern Lights family of companies, driving national sales across five creative disciplines in editorial, production, design, audio and entertainment marketing. She has also held senior roles at Alkemy X, Dive and Big Smack. She also ran her own representation firm, introducing standout studios to brands, agencies and networks at the highest level.
Along the way, she has partnered with such clients as Marvel, Apple, Amazon, Disney+, NBC and Hulu, as well as leaders across industries, including Johnson & Johnson, NBC Sports, Campbell’s Soup and Lexus.
