Disney Entertainment Television was the night’s biggest winner at the 2025 GEMA TV/Streaming Awards at the Wilshire Ebell Theater in Los Angeles on October 30.
Disney Entertainment Television was named Creative Marketing Team of the year in both the North America and Global competitions. In 2024, FX took these honors in both categories.
In the North America competition, Disney was joined by Zealot, which was named agency of the year. Zealot was previously named North America agency of the year in 2022 and 2024. In the global competition, New York-based Ultrabland took home this honor.

GEMA also handed out awards in its Local, Latin America and Video Games competitions during the evening.
In the Local competition, KABC Los Angeles won gold for a nostalgic spot that reminded viewers of 75 years of news coverage.

In the Latin America competition, Paramount Network won best brand trailer for a spot that recreated a colorful pinball machine.
After seven years away, the GEMA Video Game Marketing Awards relaunched in 2025, honoring the legacy of the Game Marketing Awards (GMAs) created under GEMA’s former banner, Promax.

Special honorary awards were given out as well. Stephanie Gibbons, president of marketing, digital media marketing and on-air promotions for FX Networks, was awarded the Creative Visionary Award. Gibbons led FX to a decade straight of top honors from GEMA and its predecessor, Promax.
Lee Hunt was given the Industry Legacy Award for his four decades of service providing brand strategy and research to the entertainment industry. Among other things, Hunt was known for his annual presentation of “New Best Practices.”
And the Harlem Globetrotters were honored with the Cultural Legacy Award for 100 years of entertaining fans via the traveling basketball team’s joy, energy and humor.
