New York City-based BigStar went big and bold for ESPN’s new daily sports talk show Big Day with Peter Schrager, using a modified red, white and blue palette and simple but bold typography to signal the show’s irreverent but enthusiastic approach to its subject matter.
The graphics package does a lot of work in a little time, capturing the sights and sounds of Schrager’s Brooklyn base, while inserting plenty of sports iconography – but no athletes! – to keep things real.
BigStar created both the show’s opening sequence as well as its overall broadcast and studio package.
ESPN debuted the new daily talk show on Thursday, September 10, just as college and NFL football were getting underway for the season. Schrager joined ESPN in April 2025, after spending nine years co-hosting NFL Network’s Good Morning Football as well as contributing to Fox NFL Kickoff and Inside the NFL.
