It’s pretty fun watching one NFL great, Michael Strahan, give another, Tom Brady, a hard time in this year’s NFL campaign from Fox Sports.

In the spots, which pick up where last year’s NFL campaign left off, one fan suddenly finds him or herself possessed of “seven-ring brain,” one for every year that Fox Sports lead NFL analyst Brady won a Super Bowl. That’s a lot for any regular mortal to handle, but when Strahan enters the picture, adding an eighth ring to the mix, “thought itself becomes a war of inches.”

Another fan – Cornell, who was also featured in last year's campaign – having been given the rare insight that only seven fancy “finger jackets” can bestow, declares Brady to have been “unstoppable” while winning those seven Super Bowls. But Strahan, who himself won a Super Bowl ring as a defensive end for the New York Giants, begs to differ.

“I don’t know if unstoppable is the right word,” Strahan says, while grabbing a cup of coffee. “I think that’s an exaggeration to be honest with you. But what do I know? If you were unstoppable, you’d have a ring for every year you played, you know what I mean?”

Brady just shakes his head and implores Cornell to “ignore him.”

"This year’s creative campaign is all about showcasing the powerhouse identity of the Fox NFL brand," said Robert Gottlieb, president, marketing, Fox Sports, in a statement. "By pairing Tom Brady's unmatched football IQ and Michael Strahan’s legendary presence alongside our returning fan-favorite characters, these spots deliver the perfect combination of distinct star power, humor, and entertainment that define Fox NFL every Sunday."

The campaign – which will ultimately see four spots rolled out across Fox, Fox One and Fox Sports’ social platforms – builds on Fox Sports’ broader commitment to making its NFL coverage as entertaining off the field as it is on it, using football’s biggest personalities to bring fans closer to the action. Four spots in total will ultimately roll out across Fox, Fox One and Fox Sports social platforms. The campaign was created by Fox Sports’ in-house marketing team in collaboration with Jeff Kling’s Das Favorite agency. The spots were produced by Smuggler and directed by Randy Krallman, who also directed last year’s Fox Sports NFL campaign.
