Channel 4’s in-house agency, 4Creative, was named Creative Team of the Year at the 2025 GEMA UK Awards for TV and Streaming at the Brewery in London on Friday, Nov. 7.
The team, which backs the U.K. 's publicly owned but commercially funded Channel 4, is known for its bold and innovative approach to marketing, such as this brand spot that aired last summer and was named Best Brand Spot and received the gold Inclusion and Change special award.
Another judge favorite was 4Creative’s spot, Educating Yorkshire, which asked school kids to come up with a trailer for a new series of the same name and is shot in the style of “one-r,” “where the camera never cuts. Educating Yorkshire scored golds in the categories of Best On-Air Campaign, Best Integrated Campaign, Best Factual, Documentary or Current Affairs – Originated and Best Use of Direction.
And 4Creative’s spot for dating show Honesty Box, also won the judges’ hearts, taking home gold for Best Use of Humour, Best Music and Best Scriptwriting.
Other winners included BBC Creative, which took home several awards, including gold for Best Season or Stunt spot, Best Use of Copywriting and Best Animation for this piece ahead of the UEFA Women’s Euro 2025.
Gold, silver and bronze awards for Best Newcomer Creative went to Hearst Networks EMEA's Sonia LeFrancois, The Walt Disney Co.'s Rhea Haynes and Warner Bros.' Discovery Creative EMEA's Ngina Mwendo, respectively.
