After delivering IndyCar’s most-watched season in 17 years, Fox Sports is leaning into the momentum with year two of “The Fastest Racing on Earth" campaign —a partnership between Fox Sports and agency Special US. Debut spot "Perfect Neighbor" features two-time NTT Indycar Series champion and two-time Indianapolis 500 winner Josef Newgarden. The creative launched during one of the biggest audience windows on TV – the NFL Divisional Game between the Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers on Saturday, January 17.
Directed by Guy Shelmerdine, the spot has Newgarden hosting a friendly backyard barbecue that spirals into a true-crime parody—setting the tone for a campaign that blends high-speed instincts with everyday absurdity. The campaign uses humor to highlight the speed and intensity of IndyCar racing by contrasting it with ordinary life—showing just how impossible it is for these drivers to downshift from 250 mph.
"Perfect Neighbor," which first debuted on social media platform X, is the first of four promo spots that Fox Sports will roll out this season.
